主役事故は every / everybody / everyone の三単現が1夜3発(everybody know / every Japanese people know / everyone live)。 第二は 1音違いの狙撃失敗が1夜7発という新記録 — work→walk(東京で働く男が東京を歩いた) / kill→cure(肉を食べるために動物を治療する) / live→leave(誰も出て行きたがらない、なのに誰も住んでいない) / rent→runs / sway→swings(ビルがブランコに) / wake-up call→waking call / newsworthy→not worth。第三は the の過剰4発(in the worldwide / at the night / in the McDonald's / in the Tokyo)。 (I can look up ▲ / I'm finding ▲ / they neglected ▲) — しかも look it up は3日前に完璧に言えていた句である。 そして how vulnerable the economy is — 08-15 に「what do I say」で壊した #22 間接疑問が、3日後に完璧な語順で着地している。走行中の自力修正が4件(welcome→endure / came up with a great→an idea / grow→raise / look at a long-term perspective→From a long-term perspective)。a tiny speck / stark contrast / ignorance is bliss / speculative / tycoon / streamlining / way bigger / I'm with you / that's how nature behaves

every/everybody/everyone の三単現が1夜3発(通算6回目、唯一まったく直っていない持病)。
相手の住む土地を environment(環境)と呼ぶ → What's going on in your part of the world?
言葉が出ないときに How to say と言う → How do I put it — slender, I suppose.
That's the glib answer, obviously.
I probably shouldn't say this, but the quake might fix a lot of it.
「自分に跳ね返るリスク」を self-risk と名詞化する → It solves the ethics, but it could backfire.
「信じられないだろうけど」を believe in で言う → You wouldn't believe it, but two bucks still buys you a burger.
I live in Saitama. / I work in Tokyo. / I'm in Tokyo right now.
You don't have to kill an animal. / Nothing has to die for dinner. / It's lab-grown meat.
Nobody wants to live there. / Nobody rents. / The building sways.
先生Hello. Evening. Or afternoon. Probably evening, right?
Hello. About nine. Evening. And in the office finally.
Evening here — just gone nine. And I'm at the office for once.
Hello. It's about nine here, so evening. And I'm finally in the office.
Yeah. Back in your home office today.
Yes. Great great connection.
Yeah, rock solid tonight.
Yes. The connection's great tonight.
Ideal, that's good. Anything interesting happen since I last saw you or just normal routine?
Anything interesting happen since I last saw you? 近況を聞く型で、How are you?
Normal routine. What's up, you know, what's going on in your environment?
Same old. What's happening over your way?
Normal routine. What about you — what's going on in your part of the world?
相手の住んでいる土地なら your part of the world / your neck of the woods / your area。
your neck of the woods
Pretty much the same. Since that big party in my village there's not been much happening. The heat somewhat continues, there were some fires around and there was a small earthquake in Spain which is super rare — in Granada. It caused some property damage but no one died. The fault line goes through the north of Africa and there's another small one that goes through Spain, so they sometimes have small scale earthquakes in the south of Spain, but it's super rare.
解説
置き土産2個目: there's not been much happening.
Yeah, super rare. Yeah, because we are Japan, you know, we are prone to earthquakes. We every building is designed for like magnitude of, I don't know sure, ten, it's super strong building we have to build because of our continental, continental situation and fault line.
Japan's built for it. Every building here is engineered for a quake that would flatten most countries.
Here in Japan we're prone to earthquakes. Every building is designed for something like magnitude ten — I'm not sure of the exact number. We have to build them that strong because of the plates and the fault lines.
正しくは in Japan / here in Japan。I don't know sure は I don't know と I'm not sure の混線(#12)。continental situation は地質の話なら the plates / our geology。
And I live in Tokyo especially and it's gonna happen, inevitable happen like the chances are like 90%, 80% in 20 or 30 years. It will gonna happen, it's gonna happen.
It's not if, it's when. Eighty, ninety percent inside thirty years.
I live in Tokyo, and it's going to happen — inevitably. The odds are something like 80 or 90 percent within 20 or 30 years.
解説
It will gonna happen は未来が2枚(will と be going to は同席できない)。
★It will gonna happen。 08-13 の "You can might hear the rain"、"could can take you out" に続く二枚重ねで、今回は未来の助動詞が2つ並んだ。 It's not if, it's when.
And it will cause so much damage to our economy and obviously million people died but we are just ignore the fact that it's dangerous to live in Tokyo. So maybe I should move away from this.
It'll gut the economy and kill millions. And we all just carry on.
It'll do enormous damage to the economy, and obviously millions of people will die. But we just ignore the fact that it's dangerous to live in Tokyo. Maybe I should move away.
まだ起きていないので millions of people will die。we are just ignore は be と一般動詞の二重(#10、07-21 that's cultivates の系譜)。
There's a really big one due to come, right? Like a huge one.
Yeah, due to come. Yeah, due to come.
Like a super, super, super earthquake. I can't remember what they call it but they don't know when it will come. Maybe next year, maybe the year after. Or in 10 years.
Yeah. And Mount Fuji erupted, you know. The maybe disaster, you can unbelievable, imagine unimaginable disaster what happen.
And Fuji goes off on top of that. You can't picture what that looks like.
And if Mount Fuji erupts, you can't even imagine the disaster that would follow.
what happen は関係詞が要る — the disaster that would happen。
And but now, people are happily living, doesn't care about it. Some serious people try, trying to alarm, it's very dangerous. We have to prepare, there's no such perfect preparation but we are not good enough to, to welcome, not welcome, endure that kind of impact.
A few people are sounding the alarm. Nobody's listening.
Right now people are living happily and don't care about it. Some serious people are trying to sound the alarm — it's very dangerous. We have to prepare. There's no such thing as perfect preparation, but we're nowhere near ready to endure that kind of impact.
to alarm は「人を怖がらせる」 — 警鐘を鳴らすのは sound the alarm / raise the alarm。there's no such perfect preparation は there's no such thing as が正(#12)。
★★there is no such thing as、3日で再発。 08-15 に「not such thing as we are right or they're wrong」で同じ定型を壊している。
And so that is like a stark contrast between it will happen inevitably and it will cause unimaginable disaster. But still, people don't care, it's very dark. We don't want to hear that kind of story. So I think we are, ignorance is bliss. I don't think so.
It will happen, and nobody cares. That's the contrast.
So there's a stark contrast between the fact that it will inevitably happen and the fact that nobody cares. It's dark. We don't want to hear that kind of story. Ignorance is bliss, I suppose — though I don't buy it.
I don't think so I don't buy it。
My student went to this place in Japan — I'm trying to figure out where it is exactly. Maybe around Niigata, but there's some special peninsula there. What's it called?
Ah, okay. Niigata, yeah. Sado Island, huh? Peninsula?
Noto. The peninsula that sticks out into the Japan Sea.
You mean the Noto Peninsula — that was January 2024.
I'm not sure, but is it Noto? である。
先生He showed me the damage — you can see where the coastline totally moved. The earth is totally separated. It's quite mind blowing, the severity of it. The whole place just collapsed, all the electrical wiring, everything destroyed. The scale of it is quite shocking.
解説
置き土産4個目: mind blowing / the severity of it / the scale of it.
I see, yeah. A couple years ago, or ten years ago. Yes, it happened. Wow.
A couple of years ago — or was it ten? Anyway, yes, it happened.
解説
a couple of years(08-04「a couple month」の系譜で、of と複数s の両方が要る)。
a couple of / a lot of / plenty of の of は、口が速く回ると最初に消える部品である。
生徒And nuclear like plants. It's a Fukushima is, everybody know, this area maybe.
Fukushima's the one everyone's heard of.
And the nuclear plants. Fukushima — everybody knows that one.
解説
everybody knows。
Yes, it's also big earthquake happened in this area. And it's we every Japanese people know about this fact. And it's not broadly reported in the worldwide because this one it's so thick.
It happened, but it never made the global news. The 2011 one swallowed all the coverage.
There was also a big earthquake in that area. Every Japanese person knows about it. It just wasn't reported worldwide, because it was overshadowed by the bigger one.
every Japanese people know
every Japanese people know。
Compared to 2011 earthquake happened in Tohoku area. It's not that it's terrible, it's also very tragic event, but still not worth, maybe many foreigners don't know about this event.
It was tragic, just not headline-tragic. That's why it never travelled.
Compared to the 2011 earthquake in Tohoku. It's not that it wasn't terrible — it was a tragic event too — it just wasn't newsworthy enough abroad, so a lot of foreigners don't know about it.
解説
not worth で止まっているが、狙いは newsworthy(報道する価値がある)。a very tragic event の a も落ちている(#14)。the 2011 earthquake の the も要る。
★newsworthy。
At the end of the day, damage is irrevocable, it's very hard to, it takes decades to build the city.
The damage doesn't undo itself. Rebuilding takes decades.
At the end of the day, the damage is irreversible. It takes decades to rebuild a city.
So that's how nature behaves. There is no enemy, nature is does what it does. So, can't blame nature. It's not like China or Russia attacking — we have an enemy, we can blame someone. But nature does what it does.
There's no villain in this one. That's what makes it different.
That's how nature behaves. There's no enemy. Nature does what it does. You can't blame nature. It's not like China or Russia attacking, where you have an enemy and someone to blame.
解説
nature is does は be と一般動詞の二重(#10、今夜2発目)。ただし直後に自力で nature does what it does と言い直している。
So if you don't want that kind of disaster, you should move. That's a clever answer.
Just move. That's the glib answer, obviously.
If you don't want that kind of disaster, move. That's the easy answer.
You were saying about the earthquake resistant houses — rather than being stronger, they shake with the earthquake, right? Because they're more flexible it allows them to endure it. It sways with the movement rather than trying to resist it.
解説
置き土産5個目: sway with the movement rather than resist it.
Yes. So that's the standard building, Japanese building. It's built like that. Sway, obviously built like that. It's a bit scary. So that's why if you work in Tokyo, high sky scraper building, it's kind of scary above like 30 or 50 floors. Because it's built like that. So, huge earthquake, it still swings. Because that's how to accept the impact.
The whole tower moves with it. That's the point — it eats the energy instead of fighting it.
That's the standard for Japanese buildings — they're built to sway. It's a bit unnerving. If you work in a Tokyo skyscraper, above the 30th or 50th floor, it's scary, because even in a moderate quake the building sways. That's how it absorbs the impact.
above 30 floors は序数で the 30th floor。
For example, New York, there's very very high, not skyscraper, it's like a building for condominiums, very high-end condominiums built a few years ago. No one lives. All it's like all speculative.
Nobody's home in any of them. They're pure speculation.
Take New York — there are these very tall high-end condo buildings put up a few years ago. Nobody lives there. It's all speculative.
解説
No one lives ▲ は場所の there が落ちている。
Foreign investors — I know what you mean, some tycoon from some country buys it all up.
解説
buy it all up = 買い占める。
Yeah, we can find, you get a great view. You can see the park, I forgot the name, Central Park. Penthouse, we can find the picture. I'm finding right now.
Hang on, I'll pull up a photo.
You get a great view — you can see the park. I've forgotten the name. Central Park. I'll find a picture. I'm looking it up right now.
解説
I forgot は現在完了 I've forgotten(#19)。 I'm looking it up(find は見つかった結果を指す)。
I'm looking it up で固定する。この男は3日前、まったく同じ句を "I'll look it up later" と完璧に言っている。
先生It's the most expensive floor rent per square meter in the world maybe. Even more than San Francisco where the silly money is.
But nobody wants to leave, nobody runs, because it's sways.
Nobody wants to live up there, and nobody rents. The sway kills it.
But nobody wants to live there, nobody rents, because it sways.
解説
leave(去る)と live(住む)は正反対。 rent(借りる)が runs(走る)に。it's sways は be と動詞の二重(#10、今夜3発目)。
So much high and very narrow. How to say, like steep. It's very limited area, they started building. So engineer came up with a great, came up with an idea like how to build strong building capable of some kind of...
They're pencil towers. All height, no footprint.
Very tall and very narrow. How do I put it — slender. There's very limited land, so they started building up. The engineers came up with a way to build something strong enough to handle it.
解説
How to say は和製の直訳。 How do I put it? / What's the word?。
"came up with a great" と言いかけて、"came up with an idea" と冠詞ごと置き直している。
I know that New York, not huge earthquakes doesn't happen, but still you have to prepare that kind of impact. And engineer did a great job, but still no one wants to live. Because of scary looking.
The engineering is sound. The optics aren't.
I know huge earthquakes don't happen in New York, but you still have to prepare for that kind of impact. The engineers did a great job, but nobody wants to live there, because it looks scary.
because of は名詞を取るので、理由が文なら because it looks scary(#5/#8)。
8/14「money is not that important」、8/16「is not ultimately affect」、そして今夜。
I wouldn't say I'm really badly afraid of heights, but I am a little bit. Have you seen those videos where people climb up the towers with no rope, no harness, and they hang off? That makes me feel sick just watching it.
解説
置き土産7個目: it makes me feel sick just watching it.
Yeah, the design is cool. But at the night, we see there's no light in the room. So that means nobody lives in the house.
At night the whole tower is dark. That tells you everything.
The design is cool. But at night you can see there are no lights on. So nobody lives in the building.
there's no light in the room。
Yeah, they can't sell them or rent them.
Yeah, looking at Central Park, amazing view.
Straight out over Central Park.
Overlooking Central Park. Amazing view.
★overlook。
Central Park blows my mind when I see how big it is.
解説
how big it is — 先生の間接疑問は wh + S + V で完璧に並んでいる。
Yes, if you walk or jogging around the park, it's like more than 10 kilometers. It's so big. In the center of such a huge city. And it's similar to Japanese version of the Emperor, how to say, in Tokyo.
It's their version of the Imperial Palace grounds.
If you walk or jog around the park it's more than 10 kilometres. In the middle of a city that size. It's like the Japanese version of the Imperial Palace grounds in Tokyo.
解説
walk or jog(並列は形を揃える)。 皇居は the Imperial Palace、その外周は the Imperial Palace grounds。
such a huge city は正着で、such a の運用はもう安定している。
It's 3.8 times larger than Clapham Common in London. Clapham Common is a big park by British standards, but Central Park's 3.8 times its size.
Clapham Common. Can you type the name? I don't know that. I can look up.
Spell it for me and I'll look it up.
Could you type the name? I don't know it — I'll look it up.
解説
I can look up ▲ は目的語が落ちている(#8)。句動詞 look up は代名詞を必ず間に入れる — look it up。
この男は 3日前(08-15)に「I'll look it up later」と完璧に言っている。 Can you type the name?
In Tokyo, like 5 kilometers around. Because it's famous for the jogger, jogging is 5 kilometers, 30 minutes kind of round. But I think Central Park is way bigger than this.
One lap of the palace is five K. Central Park dwarfs it.
In Tokyo it's about 5 kilometres around. It's popular with joggers — one lap is 5 kilometres, about 30 minutes. But Central Park is way bigger than that.
人に人気なら popular with / famous among(#8/#1)。1周は one lap。
★way bigger が正着。
I think New York is so much smaller, like Manhattan — you mean Manhattan, right? Manhattan Island.
You mean X, right?
In terms of the whole city and the surrounding residential area, Tokyo might be more population and larger. Are you looking at the centre or the city as a whole? It's a different comparison in reality.
解説
置き土産9個目: it's a different comparison。
Yes, 10 million people. I don't know what the population is in New York City, but they don't live in that area. They live near the sit area and commute, 30 minutes, one hour commute actually.
Nobody actually lives in the middle. They all commute in.
Ten million. I don't know what New York City's population is, but people don't live in the centre — they live near the city and commute, thirty minutes to an hour.
解説
the sit area は the city の発音が崩れた形。
★"I don't know what the population is" — #22 間接疑問が正しい語順で出た。 08-15 に「I don't know what do I say」で壊した、まさにその型である。
I know what you mean — are you taking into account Chiba and Saitama, because technically they're different prefectures, right?
解説
take into account = 勘定に入れる。
Yes. Because I live in Saitama, yeah. I walk here, I'm here, I live in Tokyo, but I walk in Tokyo, and I'm in Tokyo right now, but yeah, it's like total amount of numbers, like crazy.
Saitama's home, Tokyo's the office. Like most of the ten million.
I live in Saitama and work in Tokyo. I'm in Tokyo right now. The total number is just crazy.
total amount of numbers は硬い名詞の捏ねで、the total number で足りる。
正解は5語で済む — I live in Saitama and work in Tokyo.
生徒After Covid, I think the train packed situation is a little bit getting better. But still, everyone live in the outskirt of the area and commute to the center of Tokyo, and go back to their bed town.
Everyone sleeps in the suburbs and works in the middle.
Since Covid the crowding on the trains has got a bit better. But everyone still lives out in the suburbs, commutes into central Tokyo, and goes back to their commuter town at night.
解説
everyone lives(#2、今夜3発目)。
It's impressive that the cost of living in Tokyo is what it is. It's expensive to rent in the centre so they commute in — like people in New York living in New Jersey. But the cost of eating out and accommodation, if you compare Tokyo to New York, New York is unbelievably expensive.
解説
the cost of living is what it is — 前に出た it is what it is の親戚で、「そういうものだ」を数字の話に転用した形。
生徒I think eating out in Tokyo, you don't believe in, but still in Japan eating out is not that much expensive. In the McDonald's in New York maybe one cheeseburger costs like a 7 or 8 bucks, but in Japan you can still eat like 2 dollars.
Two bucks still buys you a burger here. Try that in Manhattan.
You wouldn't believe it, but eating out in Japan still isn't that expensive. At McDonald's in New York a cheeseburger might cost seven or eight bucks. In Japan you can still eat for about two dollars.
「信じられないだろうけど」は you wouldn't believe it。at McDonald's に the は付かない(#1、今夜3発目)。costs like a 7 or 8 bucks の a は余分(#14)。
buy / pay / eat / work は全部 for を連れて歩く。
If you live in a single and live in a tiny apartment, I think eating out is better than cooking by yourself and buy stuff. So it's a little bit weird situation happening in the Tokyo.
For one person, the restaurant is cheaper than the supermarket. That's Tokyo.
If you're single and living in a tiny apartment, eating out beats cooking for yourself and buying groceries. It's a slightly weird situation in Tokyo.
in the Tokyo の the は不要(#1、今夜4発目)。
★by yourself と for yourself。
Someone was saying this about the paradox of the chicken. If you buy a chicken roasted on the rotisserie it costs $5, but a fresh chicken you cook at home costs 7. How is this even possible? You've cooked it for me and it's ready to eat, but it's cheaper than the one that's not cooked. Surely there should be some service charge for cooking.
How is this even possible? / Surely there should be...
I'm sure Japanese restaurant industries is amazing in terms of trying to reduce, everything's streamlining, and so that amazing cost. And that's the paradox happens.
They've squeezed every yen out of the supply chain. That's the whole trick.
The Japanese restaurant industry is amazing at cutting costs — everything is streamlined. Hence the prices. That's how the paradox happens.
that's the paradox happens は be と動詞の二重(#10、今夜4発目)で、正しくは that's how the paradox happens。
07-21「that's cultivates」→07-22「that's obviously explains」→07-29「that's applies」に続く4度目である。
Do you know Saizeriya? I'm a huge fan of Saizeriya. I guess your other student is talking about this restaurant, because of that this restaurant is so cheap. I go to this restaurant and $5 you can eat. A chicken involve some kind of decent dish, $5. And if you want to cook in the house, it's gonna cost you more than eat out.
Five bucks for a proper plate of chicken. Cooking it yourself costs more.
Do you know Saizeriya? I'm a huge fan. I bet your other students talk about it, because it's so cheap. You can eat there for $5 — a decent chicken dish, $5. Cooking at home would cost you more than eating out there.
解説
because of は名詞を取る。 cook in the house ではなく cook at home(#1)。than の後ろは形を揃えて eating out。
★I'm a huge fan of 〜 が a つきで完璧に出た。 そして because of that this restaurant is — because of と because が同席している。
In Spain or Europe, some places in the city are like that where you'd pay more if you bought it and ate it at home. But only in the big cities. If you live in a rural area like where I live, it's expensive to live actually. Very good quality food, but you'll have to pay a lot.
Yeah, good quality, local sourced, local made, amazing quality.
Locally sourced, locally made. You taste the difference and you pay for it.
Yeah — good quality, locally sourced, locally made.
locally sourced / locally made
★locally sourced。
This is impressive to me because the Japanese government has a big deficit, but at least the citizens can eat out, they can eat well, quality of life is pretty good, people are not going hungry. Here in the European Union we're entering a Hunger Games society. The countryside will be the final frontier — the city is 100% dependent on the countryside. Once those deliveries stop the city goes into meltdown. This is just my prediction, it's bleak and apocalyptic, but it does look like it's going in that direction.
解説
置き土産11個目、今夜の本命: the final frontier / go into meltdown / 100% dependent on.
I think Tokyo will be a good example, because earthquake inevitably will happen, so maybe we are the good example of proving your theory. Because Tokyo devastated, 10 million people trying to escape from that devastating area.
Tokyo is the stress test nobody asked for.
Tokyo would be a good test case for your theory, because the earthquake will inevitably happen. Tokyo gets devastated, and ten million people try to escape the devastated area.
I think it's a good experiment because one city too much people is not not good always. Maybe big earthquake will solve a lot of problem in Japan, if you look at a long-term perspective. From a long-term perspective, maybe it will be a good event for Japanese people. It's not good for me to say this, but...

Too many people in one place is never good. Maybe the quake fixes that. I shouldn't say it out loud.
It'd be a good experiment, because too many people in one city is never a good thing. Maybe a big earthquake would solve a lot of Japan's problems, from a long-term perspective. I probably shouldn't say this, but...
解説
people は可算なので too much ではなく too many(#7)。is not not good always I probably shouldn't say this, but...
"if you look at a long-term perspective" と言った直後に "From a long-term perspective" と前置詞ごと置き直している。 I probably shouldn't say this, but
Because they realize how vulnerable the economy is, and how we are dependent on the local areas. They neglected so many years, decades. But it's a good shock and waking call.
A shock like that would be the wake-up call. They've ignored the countryside for decades.
They'd realize how vulnerable the economy is, and how dependent we are on the rural areas — which they've neglected for decades. It'd be a good shock. A wake-up call.
解説
wake-up call(目を覚まさせる出来事)。 neglected ▲ so many years は目的語と for が両方落ちている — they've neglected them for decades。
how vulnerable the economy is。 08-15 に「I don't know what do I say」で壊した #22 が、3日後に完璧に着地している。
Everything is very convenient in the happy life in Tokyo, but it's also supported by the local, very restricted, abandoned areas, farmers. At the end of the day, in Tokyo there's no farming area, right?
The convenience is borrowed. It comes from places nobody visits.
Life in Tokyo is convenient, but it's propped up by the rural areas — neglected, half-abandoned places, and farmers. At the end of the day there's no farmland in Tokyo.
there's no farming area。
They'd be grown in an incubator or... I know what you mean.
incubator。
Grown in laboratory, incubators. And also meat — if you wanna eat meat, we have to kill some kind of cattle. It's inevitable. But in the future, maybe it's already happening in the laboratory. We don't have to kill animals to eat meat. Grown laboratory made kind of meat.
Lab-grown meat. Same protein, nothing dies.
Grown in a lab, in incubators. Same with meat — right now, if you want meat, something has to be killed. That's unavoidable. But it's already happening in labs. Lab-grown meat means we don't have to kill animals.
解説
in a lab の a が落ちている(#14)。grown laboratory made kind of meat
★lab-grown。 home-made / hand-picked / lab-grown / AI-made — この男は 08-15 に AI-made を使えているので、型としては既に持っている。
生徒So you don't have to cure animal to eat.
Nothing has to die for dinner.
So you don't have to kill an animal to eat.
I've heard about it, yes. It's weird to think about, but what you're saying is technically already the case. It's very expensive to produce right now, but in the future maybe it will be cheaper.
And ethical reason, many vegetarians, the reason they became or are vegetarians is they don't want to kill animals, right? That's the only maybe main reason for that.
For most vegetarians it starts and ends with not wanting to kill anything.
And there's the ethical reason. A lot of vegetarians became vegetarian because they don't want to kill animals. That's probably the main reason.
解説
the ethical reason の the が落ちている。that's the only maybe main reason
Environmental, so much water and cost to raise one cow. It uses a lot of water and land. But most of them, I think ethical reason, they don't want to kill animals. And in the future that is no longer a problem. So in that sense it's a funny and interesting topic. But it's also self-risk.
It solves the ethics and opens a new problem. That's usually how it goes.
Environmentally, it takes a huge amount of water and land to raise one cow. But for most of them I think it's the ethical reason. And in the future that's no longer a problem. In that sense it's a funny, interesting topic — but there's a risk in it too.
「自分たちに跳ね返る危険」なら it could backfire / there's a risk in playing God。
"to grow" と言いかけて "to raise one cow" に乗り換えている — 動物は raise、植物は grow。
I think there's a playing of fire element. They want to manipulate this planet and in the long term harness the sun's full energy. But even trying to manipulate the weather, or maximise everything on an industrial level — in the end they can't fight against the earth. The earth is more powerful than the people. Even after all the people are dead, the earth will still be here.
解説
置き土産12個目: playing with fire / harness the energy / fight against the earth.
Yeah, I agree, I know what you're saying. I'm with you. The universe is still alive. Just a tiny speck — the earth is very tiny compared to the million galaxies, so it's nothing, in terms of God-eye views. Us gone today, nobody cares. Aliens don't care.
We're a speck. Wipe us out tomorrow and the universe doesn't blink.
I'm with you. The earth is just a tiny speck compared to millions of galaxies. From a God's-eye view it's nothing. If we were all gone tomorrow, nobody would care. The aliens certainly wouldn't.
the million galaxies は millions of galaxies(#7/#1)。
そして I'm with you は同意の口語として満点。
And they can't control it. I think it's futile to try and control it in my opinion.
解説
futile。
Yeah. I see. Yeah, thank you so much.
I really enjoyed it. Thanks.
