Sorry about the noise — cars keep passing by. And bear with my English.
    ツッコミ「I'm car passing by」で俺=車になった(#13)。

1/2Very hot. It's already dark and... sun's down.
2/2But still. I have no choice but to take a class outside because there is no air conditioning blasting area I can access, I can access. Now.
Brutal. The sun's already down, but it's still boiling. I had no choice but to take this class outside — there's no air-conditioned spot I can get to right now.
ただ no air conditioning blasting area I can access は名詞が渋滞して合流事故。 I have no choice but to は完璧。

A few days ago it was fine — a bit breezy, actually nice. But today I'm sweating like a pig. Profusely, as we speak.
Oh well — it is what it is.
だが sweat like a pig → profusely → as we speak → It is what it is の4連コンボは今日のハイライト。

2/2I can feel breeze. Oh, getting better. But pigs, no — did you know that pigs don't sweat actually?
Both, honestly. Though it's getting nicer now — I can feel a breeze. By the way, did you know pigs don't actually sweat?

  10. #10
1/3Yeah pigs don't have a function to sweat. It's very ironic. This expression I learned yesterday from British teacher living in Vietnam.
2/3So that's why they wallow in the mud. wallow. nice word.
    3/3wallow.
Right — pigs can't sweat, which makes the idiom pretty ironic. I learned it yesterday from a British teacher based in Vietnam. That's why they wallow in the mud.

1/3wallow in sadness. You know, I'm a somewhat more or less serious English... when it comes to English I'm serious.
2/3And I want to try make everything funny when I speak. I'm actually making a comedy out of my English lessons. I'm gonna show you next time.
3/3I fed my broken English to AI and AI brutally roasting me. And I can actually laugh at myself because it's so funny.
When it comes to English, I'm more or less serious about it. But I want to make it funny too — I'm actually turning my lessons into comedy. I feed my broken English to AI, and it brutally roasts me.

1/2I don't care about my English. I don't try to be perfect — grammatical mistakes and some funny expressions, it's okay for me. There's no goal like test or exam.
2/2I'll take exam because it's a good material also. Either if I pass or flunk, it's a win for me because I can write a joke about things.
I don't chase perfection — mistakes and funny phrasing are fine by me. There's no test driving this. I'll still take an exam though, purely as material.
Whether I pass or flunk, it's a win — I get a joke out of it either way.

1/2Ah yeah, I remember you are somewhat suspicious... you are doubtful about tests. I got somewhat skeptical answer from you when it comes to tests and I agree, I'm on board with you.
2/2I will just take a test because of making myself guinea pig and making a good content out of taking test. A lot of Japanese people tend to take tests and it's all about tests, or they need a score.
Right, I remember you're pretty skeptical about tests — and I'm on board with you. I'd only take one to make myself the guinea pig and get content out of it. In Japan, it's all about test scores for a lot of people.
I'm on board with you と guinea pig は完璧なデプロイ(勝ち)。

1/3Oh yeah interesting. Because I'm like somewhat try to make myself famous, not famous but on social media. There's a experiment right here I'm going to do off the top — there's no preparation here.
2/3This is my blog, not blog, it's a famous platform called note. note. com.
3/3Japanese famous company running the blog. It's like X or Facebook focusing on writing the material. Can you access?

Next time I'll just share my screen — DMM doesn't have that feature, but there's a free screen-sharing service I use with other teachers. Anyway, can you see it? Is there an English version?

1/3Gemini translation. Google translation. So that's the article I wrote the other day.
2/3Obviously I didn't — AI wrote. I didn't write anything, I just made a suggestion and I'm the director of this article and AI did all writing. It's a content about TOEIC.
    3/3And I'm kind of like a self-depreciating... self-depreciating... how say it's...

1/3Deprecating, yeah deprecating humor here and there on this article. And I said I will take TOEIC test in 10 years — last time was when I was 20, more than 10 years ago, and I got 900 kind of score, which is pretty good for Japanese. Maybe next time we'll read this text as a alternative to DMM News because I wrote it so I can explain everything, and you can relate because I know your stance and I'm with you.
2/3What I wanted to say is, I'm doing funny stuff on internet reluctantly. I don't want fame. I'm just a comic character — AI generated avatar I'm using.
3/3I don't want to show my face on internet. Most Japanese people do that way.
Right, deprecating. The article says I'll take the TOEIC again for the first time in over a decade — last time I was around 20 and scored about 900. Next lesson we could read it instead of Daily News; I wrote it, so I can explain everything.
To be clear, I'm doing this comedy reluctantly — I don't want fame. I use an AI-generated avatar, like most Japanese creators who never show their faces.

1/4English people are not hesitant to show their faces and very vocal, happy to post their stance. Sometimes got viral, either good or bad. Many people criticize and...
2/4it's wrong, you know, it's burned I would say. It's very dangerous, posting somewhat stimulus and agitating material on the internet, whether politics or religious stuff. I don't want to be agitator to get views or clicks.
3/4It's obviously a stupid marketing. It's ultimately ends up very dangerous place and nobody wins. I'm casually just trying to be funny on the internet.
4/4It's all about I want to write material about English. My target audience are English learning Japanese.
Westerners aren't shy about showing their faces and posting strong opinions. Sometimes it goes viral — and sometimes it blows up in a bad way and they get roasted. Posting provocative, polarizing stuff is just dumb marketing; it ends up somewhere dangerous and nobody wins.
I just want to be casually funny online. My target audience is Japanese English learners.
正解は blow up (in a bad way) / get roasted。stimulus and agitating material an agitator の an 欠席(#14)、It's ultimately ends up は be+動詞二重(#10)。

1/3Not making fun of other people — just making fun of myself is the best way, because nobody gets offended. This is my right, you cannot deny. Just self-depreciating humor.
2/3Today was actually the national holiday in Japan — Sea natural holiday — we call it Sea Day or Ocean Day. So I was free and I watched YouTube, but I'm okay with all English contents. My YouTube doesn't recommend me any Japanese contents and I have no interest in watching Japanese contents now.
3/3That's a good habit I built up a couple weeks ago, so that was very genius of me. To kill time, but that also doubles as English study. Do you know Conan O'Brien?
Making fun of myself is the safest comedy — nobody gets offended, and nobody can take it from me. Anyway, today was a national holiday here — Ocean Day — so I spent it on YouTube. My feed doesn't recommend Japanese content anymore; that's a habit I built a few weeks ago, and honestly it was pretty smart of me.

He's ended the show now, but he's hilarious — and he's my role model. Self-deprecation is his whole style, plus all that loud physical comedy. Today I watched the episode where he visited Japan — it has like a million views, partly because of the manga Detective Conan.

2/2He often visited many places around the world — Conan visited to Armenia because one of his assistant from Armenia, Sona. Maybe the most recognizable assistant. Maybe you differently maybe you saw.
It's a long-running mega-hit — literally every Japanese person knows Detective Conan. So Conan went to the author's birthplace and did a whole comedy bit there. He travels everywhere — he even visited Armenia, because one of his assistants, Sona, is Armenian.

1/55 or 6 years ago I tried to YouTube, miserably failed. I actually made a YouTube video focusing on that speech from Steve Jobs, used it as English study material. I make a kind of like a videos about music, self-help kind of contents.
2/5Very agitating music and you-can-do-everything kind of content out of Steve Jobs material. Many people did the same stuff and I was one of them. Maybe a thousand views, not bad right?
3/5And back to the topic — Conan O'Brien's graduation speech shows he was serious. At the core, deep down, he was very passionate and considerate. He obviously played down during the show, but I can sense his intelligence.
4/5Still, always roasting himself and get a laugh from making fun of himself. That's what I admire, and I will study him. I want to do the same thing on my content.
    5/5Conan O'Brien is my teacher.

Five or six years ago I actually tried YouTube — and failed miserably. I made study videos out of that Jobs speech: hype music, you-can-do-anything self-help stuff. Everyone was doing it; I got maybe a thousand views.

Anyway, back to Conan — his commencement speech shows how serious he is deep down. He plays it down on the show, but you can sense the intelligence. Always roasting himself for the laugh.

That's what I admire, and that's what I want to do with my content. Conan O'Brien is my teacher.

It's a good inspiration to have. If more people conducted themselves like he does, we'd probably be in a much happier world.

1/2Happier world, that's a world peace. He visited the Israeli — that's serious content but he could manage both side, stay serious but still making a jokes. Not offensive jokes.
2/2That's a very good balance. So time's up, but I want to know — whose your favorite comedian?
Right — world peace through comedy. He even visited Israel; heavy subject, but he managed to respect both sides and still be funny. That balance is rare.

We're almost out of time — who's your favorite comedian?
