Calder Vale Railway Museum
The museum occupies the original 1878 engine shed at Calder Vale, twenty minutes by bus from Preston station. Three of the six locomotives on display were built in the shed itself.
Galleries

Fenwick Short Film Festival Moves to the Old Malthouse
FENWICK (3 March)—The Fenwick Short Film Festival, now in its ninth year, will leave the town hall this September for the Old Malthouse on Wharf Road. The hall seated ninety; the malthouse has four screening rooms and 220 seats in total.
Entries from outside the region rose by 40 percent last year, and the festival turned away more than a hundred films for want of space.

We shot our spring catalogue here over three days. The light was even from breakfast until late afternoon, which meant we barely touched the images afterwards, and we never had to lift a rail up a single step. Getting in early was good advice; by ten the yard was full of bread crates.
The one thing I would change is that there is nowhere to make a hot drink. We walked to the bakery four times a day. Otherwise, we will be back in March.
